Erie County Public Library Welcomes Jude Shingle as Artist in Residence Program’s Inaugural Artist

jude_portraitThe Erie County Public Library, with generous support from the Friends of the Erie County Library, welcomes Fine Artist, Videographer and Director of Box of Light Studios, Jude Shingle as its very first Artist in Residence. Jude’s residency will begin in late February and will last through March with classes being offered at Blasco and all four Library Branches located throughout Erie County.

The focus of this first Artist Residency will be Animation. Jude Shingle will offer classes in Claymation, Found Art Animation, LEGO (Brick Film) Animation, and Cel Painting. All equipment is provided and classes are FREE, but registration is required as materials are limited.

In addition, Jude is our featured artist in our new Art Display Space at the Blasco Library. You can see his work hanging along with a display of Claymation and LEGO movies that can be checked out with your library card.
